Según cifras del Departamento de Estado de Estados Unidos, nunca antes en Colombia se había cultivado tanta hoja de coca, la producción de cocaína se multiplico por tres, tras la legalización de la droga en Colombia se espera un grave problema con el nacotráfico, un gramo de cocaína se vende por 100 dólares en promedio.
